Mid-February is the perfect time to escape winter to the south of Florida, where the temperature is warm, the skies are sunny, and the landscapes are absolutely full of birds. We’ll visit some of the country’s most famous birding spots—like Sanibel Island and Everglades National Park—and will see many of Florida’s special birds, like Florida Scrub-Jay, Snail Kite, White-crowned Pigeon, Burrowing Owl, hordes of waterbirds, and perhaps an arriving Swallow-tailed Kite.

Can be linked with CUBA: ENDEMIC BIRDS AND CULTURE ON THE CARIBBEAN’S BIGGEST ISLAND (Feb 6-17). If you sign up for both trips, the night between trips and transportation from Miami to Ft. Myers for the start of the Florida tour is included for free!
