Tanzania: Birding on the Classic african safari
Celebrate Josh’s 20th anniversary of leading birding tours in Africa on a birding safari through the amazing region that is Northern Tanzania. We will seek out incredible birds, all of the iconic African mammals (and the under-appreciated ones, too!), all amid spectacular savanna scenery.
Our safari will take us to some of the most famous wildlife preserves on the continent, including the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, along with more off-the-beaten-path spots like Mkomazi and Tarangire National Parks. These will be very small group tours and will stay at some of the best safari lodges around.
Our extension to the Usambara Mountains offers us an opportunity to find many montane specialties not seen on our main tour, including the utterly unique Spot-throat.
